To celebrate women’s strength and endless energy, CK Birla Hospital organized a walkathon for International Women’s Day to #BreakTheBias and forge equality for women’s health. There were more than 500 participants that included not just women but men and kids and older people who in all high spirits ran under different sets of categories of 1,2,3,5 kilometers to celebrate the spirit of womanhood. According to various renowned publisher reports, during the pandemic, women’s health has been impacted in several ways, from being stressed due to family work and being under pressure on the professional front. In some or other ways, women’s reproductive health has been affected and is further complicated by societal taboos.  During the lockdown, access to women’s wellness was also severely limited.

Speaking on occasion, Akshat Seth, CEO CK Birla Healthcare and Vipul Jain, Chief Business Officer, CK Birla Hospital, said” the initiate undertaken was to set a reminder in each one of us that we have more to give to women of this country and it is essential to make healthcare accessible and affordable to every woman irrespective of their social-economic status. We at the CK Birla Hospital are committed to bridging the gap by providing high-quality healthcare to women. Therefore, we encouraged people to actively participate in the marathon and promote women’s empowerment in all aspects of life, including healthcare.”
