Iron deficiency is highly prevalent among women in India due to a combination of dietary, biological, and social factors. Many diets are low in iron-rich foods or rely on plant-based sources with lower absorption rates. Frequent menstrual blood loss, pregnancies, and short gaps between childbirth further deplete iron stores.

Limited awareness, poor nutrition, and conditions like infections or intestinal issues also contribute. Symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, and pale skin often go unnoticed. Addressing this requires better nutrition, iron supplementation when needed, and regular health check-ups to prevent anemia and support overall health and well-being.
