Dehydration and increased sweating during summer can increase the risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs). Dehydration leads to reduced urine production, making urine more concentrated and promoting bacterial growth in the urinary tract. Sweating also causes fluid loss, disrupting the balance of body fluids and making the urinary system more susceptible to infections. Additionally, less frequent bathroom visits due to sweating or discomfort can allow bacteria to accumulate in the bladder. Wearing tight or damp clothing in hot weather creates a warm, moist environment that fosters bacterial growth, further increasing the risk of UTIs. Staying hydrated and practicing good hygiene are key preventive measures.
