Feed smaller amounts more frequently to avoid overfeeding.

  • Keep the baby upright during and after feeding for at least 20-30 minutes to help digestion.

  • Burp the baby frequently during and after feeds to release trapped air.

  • Avoid tight diapers and clothing around the baby’s stomach.

  • Use slow-flow nipples on bottles to prevent swallowing excess air.

  • Ensure proper latch if breastfeeding to reduce air intake.

  • Avoid vigorous play or jostling after feeding.

If spitting up is excessive or accompanied by other symptoms, consult a pediatrician for advice.
