Chronic kidney disease is highly common in India with a prevalence of about 16.4%. Kidney disease can cause a variety of complications including anaemia, bone weakness, heart diseases and hypertension. Despite the high incidence, there is a lack of awareness about kidney diseases resulting in the circulation of several myths.
