Dr Awasthy is an Oncologist with around 33 years of combined clinical-practice and clinical-research experience at large academic and practice centers in Delhi. Her clinical experience and interests have been focused in the medical management of solid tumors, with special interest in cancers of the breast, ovaries, lung and gastrointestinal tract.
Her research responsibilities have included developing, designing and conducting Oncology clinical trials; She has held leadership positions in this field- organizing and managing both Oncology research and global drug development. Dr Awasthy has published in peer review journals, and has made multiple presentations at national and international Oncology conferences.
She has been actively involved in spreading awareness on breast cancer through the NGO- Forum for Breast Cancer- to various groups including schools, colleges, corporates, residents and general groups. She electively combines her clinical and research knowledge with good communication skills to deliver cancer care with an
empathetic approach.
